Defensive Handgun I
From CCW to confident, real-world carry.
Description
Overview
Go beyond marksmanship. DH-I builds defensive accuracy at speed and teaches you to draw from concealment (holster, bag, purse) safely and consistently. You’ll progress from controlled pairs to hammered pairs, add multi-target transitions, and finish with a short intro to movement so you’re ready for DH-II.

Class Goals
Ironically, the course goals for Defensive Handgun (I or II) are fairly simplistic in theory, but extremely difficult to master. Our 2 main goals of DHI are:
-
A safe, repeatable concealment draw
-
Confidence hitting defensively acceptable zones at practical speed
Each student will get custom-tailored homework to prepare for DHII.

Reliable handgun you carry (You only hurt yourself by bringing a gun you don't carry every day)
-
Hard-sided concealment holster that fully covers trigger (strong-side or appendix); sturdy belt. (No cross-draw holsters)
-
2 magazines (3 if you have them), mag pouch preferred
-
Eye/ear pro, closed-toe shoes, concealment garment
-
